My Rifle, My Pony, and Me

If there actually is an "americana" genre, this should play during orientation. From 1959's Rio Bravo, this is American cinema and American music at its best.

One of my all-time favorites.

I can just see Pollard lying there, singing "Twilight Campfighter," with Gillard strumming the gee-tar, and one of King Shit's old and grizzled Golden Boys playing the role of Walter Brennan. The American beat goes on.
